Surfing is the top activity on the to-do list in Arugam Bay. There are plenty of places to rent boards from the city. There are several different beaches that are good for surfing and are good for surfers at different levels. So whether you are an amateur or an international veteran, this is the place to get on board and travel with the big boys. It's not only a place for professionals, it's a place for beginners to learn, so do not worry! There are plenty of places where you can discuss having a few lessons.
If you're looking for a few places to visit Arugam Bay, Elephant Rock should be at the top of your list. It is a rock located on the left side of the bay and offers incredible views once climbed. Tuk-tuk is recommended as it is difficult to find the rock if you are traveling alone. They will take you as far as you can and advise you from there. Expect a slight rise, but the rewards are well worth it.
Climb the rock in the evening and go on a picnic with you. This way you can enjoy short meals and sunsets while watching sunset.
Pottuvil Lagoon can be found near Arugam Bay. Various reptiles, birds, and mammals such as elephants inhabit the lagoon and its environs. The lagoon is covered with mangroves. A trip on one of the many boats that sail through the water is a very peaceful experience. However, the most common animals you can see here are crocodiles, lizards, peacocks, and monkeys. You can take a boat trip across the lagoon. Many hotels in Arugam Bay offer a tour to get there and get a boat.
